Voluntary Tracker is a GPS tracking application that allows for users to submit activity or timesheet data to another user. Think of it as a GPS verified timesheet or a GPS verified activity report. The data collected by the application is stored locally on the phone and the user has a chance to hide or set items to personal before transmitting them to a private cloud for viewing by another user. This application is a must have for any company that has staff who leave the office or work at another site. It offers accountability all while no invasion of privacy is made since the user decides what leaves their phone and in what format. The user who has the voluntary tracker on his or her mobile device just has to have the application running in the background and it will track them during the times they specify. At the end of their workday all they have to do is configure the activity they want to share with another user and utilize the easy to use interface to submit their activity report. This application does use the always allow property to run effectively. This means it will run in the background and will consume battery life. Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
